The first-of-a-kind Uganda-Pacific Northwest Symposium kicks off today Monday April 9th 2018 and will run through Saturday April 14th 2018. This trade and investment symposium is a unique opportunity to learn first-hand information from the participating business executives and government officials about the great potential of partnering and doing business between Uganda and the United States.
The goal of the symposium is to build capacity and initiate trade partnerships for selected Ugandan Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) to improve agricultural productivity, agro-processing, entrepreneurship and agro-industry innovation, tourism, ICT business processes, mining and minerals development, solar energy development and more.
The symposium will end in a motivating weekend – a free dinner on Friday August 13th with keynote speaker Sharon Lacey, who’s a motivational speaker and comedian; and another appreciation dinner hosted by Dr Benjamin Omara Abe, the Board Chair of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the African Chamber of Commerce. The Ugandan Ambassador to the United States, HE Mull Katende, will be the chief guest. Fee for the Saturday dinner is $50.
